Airtable is great, until it isn’t.

It’s a brilliant way to get started. But once a base becomes the system your business runs on, you’ll recognise some of these.

Workarounds on top of workarounds

Scripts, automations and linked-record tricks hold the base together. Only one person really understands it, and everyone is afraid to touch it.

Per-seat costs that keep climbing

Every new person who needs access adds to the bill, even if all they do is view a record or approve a request.

Limits you keep running into

Record caps, automation runs, sync limits and interface constraints start to shape how you work, instead of the other way round.

A process that has to bend to the tool

Your team does it one way. The tool wants it another. You’ve stopped asking for what you actually need and started settling.

The alternative: an app built around your process.

A purpose-built tool, designed with you, with the right view and permissions for staff, clients and partners, and no per-seat charge for the privilege. AI-assisted speed, but every line is reviewed and every tool is tested before it ships. No vibe-coded prototypes.

Apps we’ve built to replace Airtable setups.

Real teams, real processes, and what changed once the tool fitted the way they work.

Enterprise Technology

A team of two managed schedules for 70 course instructors across the world in spreadsheets — with a full day each month spent manually compiling utilisation reports for management.

A scheduling platform covering instructor availability and bookings, with a live calendar view of all instructor activity. Month-end utilisation reporting runs automatically, replacing the manual process entirely.

Professional Services

Every new client signed triggered a significant but defined onboarding process — capturing contacts, finance systems, HR systems, locations and more — with no structured way to kick it off or track progress.

An automated onboarding platform that triggers the moment a client is signed: an introductory email guides them through 7 structured steps to capture all required data. On completion, the internal team is notified, data is summarised, and the rest of onboarding proceeds automatically.

How the move works

  1. 1

    A short call

We talk through what your Airtable does today, what’s hurting, and which part of it matters most. No pitch deck.

  2. 2

    A fixed-price proposal

We scope the smallest app that solves the real problem, and send a fixed price before any work starts. No hourly estimates, no surprises.

  3. 3

    Build the MVP

Typically 3–6 weeks, depending on scope. You see it working early and often, so it ends up fitting your process rather than a spec.

  4. 4

    Move your data across

We migrate your existing records into the new app and help you switch over. Anything not yet moved can keep running in Airtable meanwhile.

Common questions

How much does it cost?

Most Airtable-replacement MVPs land between £5,000 and £10,000, fixed price, agreed up front. The price depends on how many workflows, user roles and integrations the first version needs. We deliberately start with the smallest useful version, so you’re not paying for things you might need one day.

Do I have to move everything at once?

No, and we’d usually advise against it. The MVP covers the workflow that hurts most. Other bases can stay in Airtable until it makes sense to move them, or for good if they’re working fine.

What happens to my existing data?

We migrate it into the new app as part of the project, including your linked records and history where it matters. We’ll talk through exactly what comes across on the call.

Why not just switch to another no-code tool?

Sometimes that’s the right answer, and if it is we’ll tell you. But if you’ve hit a ceiling in one no-code platform, the next one usually has a ceiling of its own. A bespoke app is built around your process, so there’s nothing to work around.

What about hosting and support afterwards?

Every project includes 30 days of post-launch support. After that we offer hosting and flexible support plans, covering updates and security patches, so you’re not left managing infrastructure.

Ready to stop working around your tools?

A 30-minute call is enough to tell whether a bespoke app makes sense for you, and what it would cost.
